In case it helps anyone, here is some information I put together (up on Lynxmotion Thread), when I was setting up my second Pi to run this code.

To create the bootable SD insert on a computer,
sudo df -h
umount xxxx ( where xxxx are the SD card partitions), or umount from the file manager.
to see where is phisically located in teh file system:
sudo ls /dev/*0 (will be like like /dev/mmcblk0 or something like that)
create the bootable SD with the image:
dd bs=4M if=linaro_ubuntu_12.11_robotics_v2_u2.img of=/dev/mmcblk0
this will make a SD card, of 6gb. need to expand the partition to the sull size.
on the system computer when loads first time, we should add the drivers for the WIFI card (wireless ralink 5370), on our case is a kernel driver that has to load with the system:
sudo echo rt2800usb >> /etc/modules
